THE COURSE
The Queen City Triathlon course will be set in the beautiful Bonita Lakes Park, a 3500 acre lush green park carved out of the center of the city.
The swim will start at the boat ramp and be a lake swim for 1/3 mile.
The bike (map below) will be a road ride.
The run will be around the upper lake and back to the finish line.

May I register on race day? You can register on race day, unless the event sells out prior to race day.
If you register on race day, you will not be guaranteed a shirt or medal, and you will be placed to start the race behind all the pre-registered racers.
What items do I need to register or pick up my race packet?
Photo ID is required and you must pick up your own packet.
What is your age minimum? Our minimum age is 12 to compete.
Will there be water & aid during the race?
Yes, there will be water on the run course, main staging area, and at the race finish line.
There will also be snacks and drinks at the finish line for participants and volunteers.
Are earphones allowed on the course? No
Do I have to wear my bib number? The bib number needs to be visible on your back at the finish line.
Will there be restrooms? Yes, there will be park restrooms.
Where do I put my marking numbers? Left & Right arm, visible from the side.
Do I have to wear a shirt for the bike and run? No, a shirt is not required.

Food vendors will be available for spectators in the expo area.
Swim Information
All athletes must give a predicted estimated swim time upon registration. We ask participants be as honest and realistic about time predictions as possible to avoid congestion and inconveniencing fellow racers. Unrealistic swim times will be reassigned to the end at the race director’s discretion.
All athletes will line up in numerical order and MUST enter the water according to their pre-assigned race number. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in time penalty.
*Race numbers will be assigned based on estimated swim time given at registration.
The 1/3 swim will start at 7:30am athletes entering the water one at a time every 5 seconds. Athletes will line up according to their pre-assigned number (assigned based on swim time). Athletes MUST enter the water according to their
Swim Course: The course we be a triangle. You will enter at the boat ramp and exit at the flag pole.
There will be buoys out in the lake you swim around.
Water support: There will be kayaks, paddle boards and sheriff boats on the water for support. You are allowed to hold on to any of these things as long as they do not give you forward progress.
Wetsuits: No wet suits allowed as the water temperature is slated to be above 78 degrees

Saturday July 9, 2022
6:30 AM: Chip and Packet Pick-up begins
6:30 to 7:15 AM: Bike/Transition area available
7:15 Safety Briefing (Required for all swimmers)
7:30 AM: Race starts
11:59 AM: Course Closes
11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony
1:00PM: Transition area closed, all swim gear and bikes should be picked up by this time.
No refunds will be issued after 6/01/22.
Transfers only as shirts and medals will have been ordered.
